
JOE GLUCK, violin - a former member of the
St. Louis and Detroit Symphonies, he recently retired after many
years as a violinist of
the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
Joe also serves as the concertmaster of the Summit (New Jersey)
Orchestra.
As THE STIRLING DUO, with his wife, Mary, they perform about
40 concerts a year as a violin/piano duo (mostly lecture/recitals).
They also are Co-Directors of a year around amateur chamber
music workshop.
He frequently gives lectures and has publicly interviewed many
musical celebrities.
Joe is the Conductor/Music Director of the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra and
is also the founder and conductor of THE STIRLING
CHAMBER ORCHESTRA.
MARY BABIARZ, violin, viola, piano - is
currently a member of the
Paper Mill Playhouse Orchestra
and
has performed with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and actively
freelances in the New Jersey/New York area.
She is a coach for the New Jersey Youth Orchestra and was co-director of
4 STRINGS! - A Summer Chamber Music Academy for Young String Players.
She has adjudicated
competitions for The Summit Symphony, The Westminster Conservatory in Princeton,
The Suburban Community Music School
and the American String Teachers Association Awards. She is a music
teacher for "Stepping Stones"
- a preschool in Livingston for children with Down
Syndrome and was the recent recipient of the 2007 "Volunteer of the Year" Award
given by ARC of New Jersey. She
also maintains a private teaching studio on violin and viola.
